Athletic Admissions for High School

Sports are an important part of the private school application process. There are elite athletes who choose a private school in order to enhance their skills and to be in a better position for college recruiting. Other athletes may not make the team at their large public school and are looking for a place where they can continue to play the sport they love. Both types of athletes, and those in-between, benefit from considering sports as part of their school admissions process. They will evaluate schools based on interactions with coaches and players, facilities, and program philosophies. They will reach out to coaches, send film, and hope it will have a favorable impact on their admissions decision.

At Brightbridge, we help athletes with the boarding or day school admissions process. We have worked with young athletes in the following sports: lacrosse, field hockey, ice hockey, basketball, swimming, rowing, squash, sailing, soccer, football, baseball, and golf. Many have reached their goal of playing their sport in college, and others were simply happy to be a part of a team, competing, and enjoying this aspect of their high school experience.
